A platform truck, also known as a flatbed trolley feature a large sheet of plywood or sometimes metal such as steel, with four swivel wheels fixed on the bottom. At one end, is a large pushing or pulling handle that enables the truck to be moved with ease. Because the wheels swivel, the truck can easily be manouvered around corners and along flat floors. The only drawback to a platform truck is that the design does not make it easy to move from A to B, if the floor involves kerbs or raised edges. In this case ramps would be required to enable the truck to move with ease.
Platform trucks are regularly used by porters and other handy people as they enable a relatively large amount of goods, such as archive boxes to be moved with ease. Some of our platform trucks feature removable sides, this is useful if a variety of goods are often transported that are required to be kept in the confines of a boxed area, or when the sides are removed, enabling larger items to be placed on the truck. We also have a selection of zinc plated platform trucks that can be used in refrigerated environments such as cooler warehouses, or in medical practices such as hospitals.
